Can a pedicure really help induce labor?

I'm just curious, i've heard some people saying getting a pedicure and having your pressure points massaged can actually put you into labor and some people say thats absolutely ridiculous and untrue. I want to know your stories, if its really worked for you or what you think.

Your uterus is also connected to your feet.. if the right pressure point is manipulated, it is possible to help induce labor with a foot massage. Its not an accurate means of inducing labor, but its possible. A few books I have about pregnancy even warn against getting foot massages during early pregnancy because there is the possability of inducing labor!Can a pedicure really help induce labor?
actually it is true, and it's not just ur feet, anything from the waist down massaged can put u into an early labor or make u miscarry if certain points are massaged, which is why massage therapist has to have a prenatal certification to give special pregnancy massage.





my mom is a hair stylist, and once they had a girl in for a pedicure, thank god she was close to her due date bc they had to call 911 bc they put her into labor from giving her foot massage, they didn't know this until then. but my mom told me and me and my b/f did a research and found out it's true.





EDIT: whoever gave me thumbs down, call massage therapist and ask them, most of them won't even massage a pregnant woman unless they're trained to, i've made my calls, so should u...
i would think that a massage or a pedicure could possibly help induce labor because it relaxes you, and that is a main issue when your due date rolls around, is not being able to relax. So i would say yes. just at the fact that it relieves stress.
Anything is possible with the human body. However, no method of induction (self-induced or not) will work if your body and the baby are not ready to go into labor.
The simple answer is, is that nothing can be said to actually induce labor.
