How do I talk my wife into getting manicure and pedicure?

She's more of a ';tomboy'; and doesn't wear make-up often. Since our son was born, she's always complaining that she's breaking/cracking her nails. Although I find a nice manicure/pedicure attractive on a woman, I don't consider myself some sort of fetishist. I'm afraid if I bring it up (or buy her a gift certificate for a nail salon), she'll think I am one. Any suggestions on how to bring up the subject? How do I talk my wife into getting manicure and pedicure?
That sounds just like my sister. However you'll be surprised that even tomboys like to get pampered sometimes. Get it for her as a gift (for Valentines day perhaps) along with whatever you were going to get her so she doesn't think your trying to imply something rude. Then when she opens it tell her you appreciate all her hard work with the family and that you wanted to surprise her with a nice mommy time gift where she can pamper herself. Remeber the right words are crucial. Good LuckHow do I talk my wife into getting manicure and pedicure?
Get her on maury

j/k

buy her a complete day of pampering where she can get her hair done a massage and a manicure so it will just look like a nice gift.
Show her this ';question'; on Yahoo.

If she finds something wrong with it. Something is wrong with her..
If she is complaining about her nails, then that leaves the door open for you to treat her to a pedicure/manicure. Or, you can buy her one of those pariffin foot baths (at bed, bath and beyod for $20, or wal-mart, or target, etc). It is up to you. I'm sure she would love it :) ALL girls do!
Maybe spend a little extra and buy her a day at the spa with the manicure/pedicure and massage, she will love it :)
The very best thing to do is to buy her a salon day. Give her a card that tells her how much you love her and that she deserves a day to pamper herself because she does such a great job of taking care of you and your son.

She will love it!

Do Not tell her that you are giving it to her because she's getting a little hard on your eyes unless you want them scratched out!
actually u've got a brilliant idea.. just get her a gift voucher for a nail salon, she wont refuse it believe me

good luck
not only should you give her a mani/pedi gift certificate, you should get her a day at a salon with a masage, hair cut and color, mani/pedi, and anything else your salon offers that you think would be fun. tell her to treat herself and go relax. hopefully she wont take it the wrong way, but if you just say it like you want her to have a great time and feel beautiful, i doubt she will. good luck :)

or, possibly go WITH her, guys can get their nails done, too
For somebody who is a tomboy it is going to be hard to convince them, however, you can tell her she doesn't have to get the 'fake' nails but at least enjoy getting pampered %26amp; they can just paint her real nails. Suggest her to get a regular french manicure so that the other colors of the nails polish don't get old to her.

Trust me I know..I was the 'tomboy' but now I'm a faithful customer!
get her a gift certificate
I'm the tomboy type...and I was a manicurist. I would just ask her about making an appointment at a salon to treat herself to some pampering, for her nails and feet....tell her you notice that she hasn't had the time and has been doing alot for the kids and you...and she deserves an afternoon off....Ask her which salon she likes and tell her you will make the appointment for a Manicure and Pedicure for her....as your treat....She should be receptive if you put it that way....and not feel like you are saying her feet are ugly, or her hands....Good Luck...

I asked my Husband what he would do in this case...(supposing I was a more sensitive person....and not as mouthy as I am.....lol) He said he would go to a Salon and buy a Certificate....have it mailed in her name....I thought that was a good idea too....as I would think Hey that is great...free Manicure and Pedicure....cool...I would definately make an appointment fast...)

Well, there you go.....2 ideas...\

EDITED.....Please don't do this as a Gift for Valentines Day....That would just piss her off.....and defeat the whole purpose.......give her a bracelet, pin, or necklace or Anklet for Valentines Day.........geezzz some people just don't think it thru.........
u can start by tellin' her how beautiful she is (bring up the good things first) then tell her ';but if got u'r nails done u'll look better';

u got wat i mean..? tell her some nice words
Just tell her that she deserves it and you wany her to pamper herself.
just ask her in a nice way and if she gets mad get 1 with her some guys need to get their nails and toes done lol
Buy her the gift certificate. Then take her to a ball game.
Get her the gift certificate and put it into a nice Valentine card ... and put a note in saying how much you LOVE her, and have heard her complaining about her 'broken/cracked nails' and you want her to FEEL AS BEAUTIFUL as she is to you .... ANY woman would love that as an 'extra' Valentine ... but don't forget to get her something else, too ... chocolate and bubble bath to 'complete' the mani/pedi experience, perhaps ... and of course some nice 'wine' served by you as you wash her back. THINK ABOUT IT ...
talked in it!! god id do anything for a manicure, just tell her that you really appreciate what she does around the house, and bringing up your son that she deserves a treat!
Show her the rags your sheets have become and how all her hose end at the ankles.
Just get a gift certificate from a store that does it and give it to her on Valentines day.
okay.

on valentines day or her birthday (whichever comes first), get her an assortment of gifts and include a gift certificate of a nail salon in there.
Just but her one and maybe she will like it. Just tell her that since she is complaining of always breaking nails and stuff you thought it was something she would like.
say ';baby..ill take care of bob..you go out and treat yourself.'; then give her lots of money =] weeee
For valentines day treat her to a day out at the beauty salon.
Just tell her that you love her and you care about her and that she deserves to be pampered in a GREAT nail salon because she is a great mom and wife. Perhaps you can make her feel special by sending her to the salon and while she's gone make a nice wuite dinner for two. Kinda romantic. Afterwards maybe your son and your wife and you can all go to the movies. That will surly show her that she is special.
